What is an Educational Psychologist?
An educational psychologist is a qualified psychologist with a special interest in all things related to education. Educational psychologists do educational assessments. An educational assessment is best described as an evaluation of a child's strengths and weaknesses, with the purpose of helping them to achieve their potential in the classroom.
My experience
I am an educational psychologist. I specialize in educational assessments and also have a love for training with teachers, parents and students. I have been in private practice since qualifying.
Are children not playing enough?
Being a mom has also opened my eyes to see the value in play for play's sake (not just for learning), and it makes me question the type of education my child will benefit from most when the time comes for her to go to school.
