Screen time
The reality is that we cannot escape screens - and it is counter-intuitive to ban them in our lives because the world is progressing faster and faster in this direction. Failing to teach children how to use technology is failing to prepare them for their world. However, the challenge that we need to take up is teaching them how to manage technology.

Consistency and frequency is important, because some weeks are just really rough and then the next week things get better. TANTRUMS {part two}
There are plenty of reasons that toddlers have tantrums. Some of those reasons are simply the product of their age and season (e.g. they don’t like to be told “no” no matter how firmly, angrily, gently, lovingly or empathically you do it) and this can sometimes feel irrational to us adults.

What is a career assessment?
A career assessment is an evaluation of a child's aptitude. Aptitude is a child's natural ability in an area - such a calculations, or mechanical insight. A career test also investigates a child's personality traits and their values in order to see how these pieces all fit together.
The acorn
The vision behind my use of the acorn as my logo is a simple one. An acorn, to me, represents a small item with a great deal of potential. A lot of my passion for psychology, and educational psychology in particular, stems from a heart to see people reaching their potential. This is the approach I take when working with my clients.
My experience
I am an educational psychologist. I specialize in educational assessments and also have a love for training with teachers, parents and students. I have been in private practice since qualifying.
Journal article published
My Master’s dissertation was on the level of knowledge about Autism Spectrum Disorders. I specifically targeted schools in the local township of Edendale in Pietermaritzburg. I have published a journal article on the research with my brilliant supervisors.
